Zim Code provides basic computer and coding courses to those who are interested. Our priority is to increase inclusivity in the world of computing and coding by removing social and economic barriers of entry for under-represented minorities. We encourage anyone and everyone to apply to any of the programs or positions we offer, regardless of financial or social standing. We believe that coding is for everyone, including you!
This is an introductory computing course for people who want to learn how to use a computer and acquire all the basic everyday skills. Topics covered include Basic Software, Hardware, Internet and Microsoft Office.
This is an intensive Introduction to Programming Course designed for people with no prior programming experience. Participants will be taught the fundamentals of Programming using the Python language.
Join our team as a programming tutor that will be responsible for teaching Basic Computing, Python, Java and HTML/CSS/JS to beginners. Tutors are trained, however, some programming experience is required.
Join our team as a volunteer that will be assisting tutors with setting up teaching equipment and assisting students during lessons. Other duties may include paperwork and logistics. Volunteers get a signed certificate.
